It is apparent that mental health affects a large proportion of our population here in the UK. None more so than those of school leaving age. These are our Generation Alpha children.
According to NHS statistics gathered by 'The Mental Health of Children and Young People in England 2023 report' published on their website on November 21st 2023, a staggering 20.3% of eight to sixteen year olds have a probable mental disorder. This rises in those aged 17-19 to 23.3%!
Whilst 21.8% of the younger adults born as the Millennial Generation are affected by this same diagnosis.
